A Note from Señorita Yossen and Mrs. Hardt:
As the weather is getting colder, please make sure to dress your child in layers. When there is snow on the ground, you may want to consider sending extra clothes as well, just in case your child’s gloves, socks, or pants get wet while playing outside.
Please make sure you read the entire monthly newsletter and homework packet, and then keep it so that you can refer to it as needed throughout the month. We use this packet as our main means of communication with our families, and if you don’t read it, you will miss important information. In case you ever misplace it, copies of the homework, reading log, and poem can be found on our website:

High frequency words, sight words, and heart words: these are terms we use interchangeably to describe words your child should be able to read without sounding them out. We list the words being taught in the weekly schedule (to the left). PLEASE STUDY THESE WITH YOUR CHILD! We have attached a list of all the words taught so far, so that you can study them over winter break.

Como el tiemplo se pone mas frio asegúrese que su hijo venga vestido con capas. Cuando haya nieve en el piso considere enviar ropa extra en la mochila en caso de que las medias se humedezcan.
Por favor asegúrese de leer todo el paquete de tarea y las noticias del mes y conservarlos así puede chequear lo que necesite durante el mes. Utilizamos este paquete como el mayor medio de comunicación con las familias y si usted no lo lee va a perder información importante. Las palabras de uso frecuente son palabras que su hijo/a debe saber sin tener que deletrearlas. Alistamos estas palabras en las noticas de casa mes a la izquierda. POR FAVOR PRACTIQUE ESTAS PALABRAS CON SU HIJO! Hemos adjuntado una lista con las palabras que se le han enseñado hasta ahora asi las estudia durante las vacaciones de invierno.
